Modern dual controlled cars – guaranteeing everyone’s safety
If you are an absolute beginner
We will start you off on the quiet country roads – moving off, changing gear steering and stopping. As your confidence and skill at controlling the car increases we will move onto housing estate roads, dealing with parked cars, traffic lights and roundabouts – then on to the reversing manoeuvres.
Learning to drive is not just about controlling the car itself, it is also about learning to think and make decisions based on keeping yourself safe, looking after other road users and keeping it legal.
In other words : Being aware and taking responsibility.
If at any time you ‘lose the plot’, we can stop you (the car) with the dual control pedals.
Finally, we will conduct Mock Tests with you, which are an excellent way to make sure you are ready for your real L test and more importantly, you are able to drive safely and confidently by yourself for the rest of your life.
If you have had some experience of driving before
We will first need to assess your standard of driving skill so far, i.e. your car control and ability to deal with hazards, roundabouts, and manoeuvres. Once we have discovered what you can do well and what doesn’t go so well, then we can set goals to move you towards passing your driving test.
